Mama Baby Haiti is a center in Haiti that provides free prenatal, birth, and postnatal care for moms and their babies. Haiti has the highest infant and maternal mortality rate in the Western Hemisphere, a fact that can easily be remedied by the access to safe and thorough maternity care.

We partnered with Hear the Cry to create a campaign to bring awareness to the mission Mama Baby Haiti has set out on through a video campaign shown at their annual gala that raises funds to help the humanitarian non-profit.

With a small crew, we set out on a 14 hour adventure to Cap-Haitien, a port city in North Haiti. From there we traveled to remote villages set in the rugged and often in-accessible mountains of Northern Haiti with a focus on capturing multiple births, mobile clinics, poverty stricken slums and the birthing center. The goal was to tell the story of Haitian helping Haitians through documenting the day in the life of Carmelle Moise, the head midwife for Mama Baby Haiti.
